My two loves are technology and travel so unlike Dora who likes to "rough it" and blend in with the locals, on most trips you'll find me hunting for internet cafes to update our online journal and/or racking up international charges on my Blackjack II just to check my email and tweet. My bill for our trip to South East Asia was in a few hundred dollars!!!!
My best travel tip? Don't splurge on the hotel unless you plan on spending your entire trip inside your room!!! Most "median" hotels offer clean beds/bathrooms at half the cost of the luxury ones and if you are anything like us, you are only at the hotel to shower and sleep -- usually for less than 5 hours at a time = ).
